Our Community Reinvestment Program is funded with the money we raise from the festival, sponsors and individual donors. We believe arts appreciation should extends beyond our festival. We are proud to support these education initiatives:

Art Scholarships: We’ve awarded more than $30,000 in scholarships to deserving and talented students from LeMoyne-Owen College, Rhodes College, Memphis College of Art, University of Memphis and Christian Brothers University.

Art in the Making–Artist Master Classes in the Shelby County & Municipal Schools: Each year, more than 1,600 students of all ages and abilities experience master classes and workshops by noted artists such as George Hunt, Dolph Smith, Jimpsie Ayres, Chuck Johnson, Terry Lynn, Obayana Ajanaku and Katey Henriksen, at no cost to schools nor students.

Special Resources Fund: For the second year, RiverArtsFest will award $12,000 through individual investments in support of outstanding creative visual arts projects at various schools and nonprofits. Click here for application information.

Free Festival Tickets: RiverArtsFest distributes 3,000 free admission tickets to the schools participating in Art in the Making to encourage kids and their families to experience how art is created and celebrated.

Collaboration: RiverArtsFest supports arts-related activities throughout the year at locations such as Stax Academy of Music, Levitt Shell, Memphis College of Art, Shelby County Schools and more.
